This track is inspired by the heroic but ultimately tragic love story of Nancy Wake aka The White Mouse (the most decorated servicewoman of World War 2) and her husband Henri Fiocca.

When World War 2 came to France Nancy originally worked as a courier helping Allied airmen evade capture and escape to neutral Spain. When the Gestapo became aware of her she fled Marseille to Spain then to the United Kingdom where they were looking for French speakers to help the french resistance. She trained with the Special Operations Executive and later parachuted into France to work with the maquis (French and Belgian rural guerrilla fighters).

In the aftermath of one large battle, a defeat for the Maquis, she bicycled 500 kilometers to send a situation report to SOE in London.

While she was fighting with the resistance her husband Henri was captured and ultimately shot because he would not give her up, sadly she only knew of his death after the war ended.

Nancy had a strong sense of justice and the fortitude to do what she felt she had to do to win the war.

Nancy (Don't Go Out Tonight) tells a small part of her incredible story from the point of view of her husband Henri a true love story for the ages.
